When an ocean or air rate is obtained in US Dollars, we can only use that day’s exchange rate for “illustrative purposes” of the GBP total and cannot predict any fluctuation that may occur in the lead time between our quote and the arrival of your shipment. Unfortunately, this is a consequence of these uncertain times.
Therefore, it may not be possible for us to invoice clients at the rate of exchange used at the time of the original quote. This is due to the lead times involved and the speed at which the fluctuations in exchanges are occurring.
We will quote a figure in US Dollars, but we will have to apply the rate of exchange at the time of the shipment arrival.
We really appreciate your understanding on this matter.
