Shipment Updates due to Conflict in the Middle East
Due to the current situation and ever-changing landscape in the Middle East, multiple airlines and shipping lines have announced the temporary suspension of flights and vessel schedules to selected destinations across the region. In addition, certain Middle Eastern airspaces are currently closed or subject to operational restrictions.
Shipments to, from, or transiting through parts of the Middle East are likely to be impacted. Where feasible, our teams are assessing alternative options, re-routing strategies, and tailored contingency plans to minimise disruption and protect supply chain continuity.
Further changes may occur at short notice depending on security developments and regulatory directives.
Please note:
• Certain routings may experience delays due to restricted airspace.
• Capacity adjustments and revised transit times may apply.
If you have shipments scheduled to the Middle East or require contingency planning support, please reach out to your dedicated Account Manager or our operations team.
It is expected that the situation will inevitably affect rates and likely to see increases in not only rates, but availability pf space and options as the Middle East is a key area for transhipment points, especially on airfreight to and from the Far East.
JAG UFS will be continuously monitoring the situation and maintaining close contact with airline partners, shipping lines and local authorities to ensure responsible and compliant handling of all shipments.
On behalf of all JAG UFS staff, we would also like to take this opportunity to send our thoughts and prayers to all our friends, partners and their families in the countries affected and hope that they all remain safe. Our thoughts are with you.
